I love old people :)

Last night I drove up to Mesa with Guy to go get his truck from the dealership. He asked me to come with him the night before because "its to long of a drive to go by yourself." Of course im not going to lie I wanted to go. I really like hanging out with Guy. He makes me laugh all the time and im really comfortable around him. But the drive up was good we sang alot, told stories, and talked about school. He told me about his grandparents and described them as saying they were the sweetest people I would ever meet in my life. Of course I just kinda thought ya thats what everyone says about there grandparents...ok not everyone...but non the less a lot of people. So we go and get to Mesa it turns out I meet most of his family. I meet his sister Emily who is so pretty and is super nice. We meet her and her in-laws house and as im talking to her mother in law I find out they are originally from Santa Fe so casually throw in that oh cool my grandparents are from there too just trying to make some small talk. So she gets her husband who apparently knows everyone there and I tell them their names and what do you know he knows/knows of alot of the Berridge family and throws out my Uncle Chesters name. Small world right. I thought it was pretty nifty! We both thought it was pretty cool. Anyways, after his sisters we go and meet his grandparents. We pull up to the house and outside there door you can here a loud loud noise inside...at first I thought they were yelling but as we walked in their in their little chairs watching Indiana Jones. It was right at the climax of the movie but they paused it and gave us hugs. They were definantly the sweetest people in the world. His grandpa was very handsome and his grandma was so precious and had the softest hands I had ever felt in my life. They also had the most sweetest spirit in their home and they welcomed me right in. We talked for a while and his grandma started talking about marrying in the covenant and what a big deal that is and was just talking about marriage in particular and how you need to know the person and whats deep down inside of them and it was so sweet. And she talked about her and her husband had been marryed for almost 60 years now and she talked about his family when she came in and she said that they werent to sure what kind of a Hatch (their family name) she would make, but in the end she was just the greatest. And she talked about her kids- which included Guy's mom- and told stories of her sons and daughters as they grew up. It was seriously the sweetest thing, they grabbed eachothers hands and were just smiling and looking at eachother and you could just see them replaying their lives in their minds. But I realized then that that is the kind of marriage I want. They are so in love after 60 yrs and all the wrinkles. But they were just so sweet and I couldnt get over that! After that we drove over to his brothers house and I met him and his wife. They were just as sweet. I really like his family there all really nice people and his dad is really funn.
I got a new job...I work at Western Wats its a call center in Thatcher. We call and bug people during dinner to take surveys. Its actually pretty sweet. I only work 3 hours a day 5 days a week, which I can handle! Its really funny sometimes talking to people. I dont know if its just me or what but I get a ton of old people. And their either a bit aggravated were calling or there really into talking to you and taking surveys. And for the most part I get alot of them that want to take the surveys. Today in particular I got a sweet old man from Georgia whose wife had died about 5 months ago from breast cancer . But he asnswered the phone listned to my whole schpiel and said he was really into taking the survey and wanted me to jump right in to it. The thing about this survey is that "some of the questions in this survey would be hard to answer over the phone. So what we would like to do, if you are willing to participate, is send you the questionare by mail." This questionare is concering politcs, religion, and culture in the united states but it isnt trying to sway anyone in any direction. The first thing the man asks was "if I answer the questions the way I want to, am I going to get sued?" I kinda giggled and was like "no sir you wont be sued for voicing your opinion." He went on to tell me that he was what he liked to call a constitutional conservative and he served in WW2 which I thought was pretty cool. So we start talking about that and he starts talking about how he went to war for a country that doesnt even exsist anymore. It really made me thing. But we finish talking about the war and he was like "Danni you seem like the sweetest young girl" I really liked talking to you. I was all thank you! And so I go on and get his address and right before I finish he was asked if it was some thing that I had never heard of. And I was like what? I have no clue what that is? And he was laughing and he was like "oh well the terrorist used to use them and they would send mail and when you opened it, it would explode! Thats not going to happen with this survey right? Because if it is Im not to sure I want to give you my address." It was so funny, we were both laughing really hard and everyone was looking at me weird. But he was like oh im just kidding I know your not gonna send me exploding mail. But he really was so sweet. I decided I really like talking to old people.
But as for me in my normal life...not to much is happening. Just school and work. I went to the library tonight and was there until it closed! <- that ones for you dad :) I kinda have/had a boyfriend. His name is Zach. He was the first guy I met down here last semester. We were in math together. We used to talk and then we just stopped. But then this semester I started hanging out with his cousin Alecc more and so I started seeing Zach more. Then we got close and started hanging out moreso by ourselves. He is fun but I guess its not really what I wanted...like I still like him dont get me wrong but he is a premi...so basically its going no where. And even though in my last blog I was saying how bad I wanted a guy...I realized I really dont. Who knows. Im just really picky and really hard to please. Ill deal with it. Looks like another lonely Valentines day...which is ok, since I missed work on Tuesday when I went with Guy, I get to make it up tomorrow night from 6-9! Woo-hoo. Maybe ill get another sweet old man tomorrow. Well thats all...Happy V-Day :)))
